RAW FOOD PAINTING WORKSHOPS

"Du bist was du isst.

You are what you eat. ”

Encouraged by artists from Roxy & Kids Art, children and their parents paint with food waste such as red cabbage and radishes, blue grape varieties, green spinach, orange and yellow peel of citrus fruits, flowers, cocoa and chocolate. The little artists between 3 and 14 years of age have a lot of fun and muse while painting the colors of nature and learning about a healthy raw food diet.

These unique workshops are designed to ensure a relaxed, conversational environment and one-to-one time with Visual Artist Roxana Ene. For many people seeing a blank canvas can be overwhelming, through painting music, our unique experience “what synaesthesia feels like” - method, which is indeed a great sensory experience, participants are eased into a totally different creative zone.

Roxana teaches her students to discover the visual appeal of music and paint the overall feeling of what they hear, making them want to go down this abstract route.

Abstract painting has no right and wrong and even if it’s not turning out the way you planned, your mistake will look intentionally beautiful.

The resulting abstract artworks are then analyzed interpreted and transformed by the artist. There are drawings and hand lettering integrated on top of the students’ abstract creations.

Roxana and her team of artists draw on colored paper copies, so after copying the originals they make sure that the student’s artwork remains intact.  Basically that is the fascination - the before & after image - demonstrating what the synergy between artists really means.

There are also short lyric poems, quotes and motivational text messages that fit harmoniously into the composition of the collaborative artwork.

At the end, on a big canvas we will paint a collective art work to be auctioned/sold by our Association Roxy & Kids Art to support a cause, continuing our charity activities for children in Germany and Romania.
